THE SAKE is an ancient Japanese alcoholic beverage similar to wine for its volume of alcohol. It is made from rice, rice koji and water using fermentation and filtration processes.

Mrs. Makiko Witolla Hayashi,Chairwoman of the Japanese Ladies’ Association of Luxembourg a.s.b.l., and Japanese & International Sake sommelier, will present the secrets of sake.

MENU

Aperitive: Finger food 

Starter: Tepanyaki squid and crisp spring vegetables with ginger infusion served with a verrine of soba noodles in a dashi broth.

Main course: Pressa Iberica (loin of Iberic pork) cooked at low temperature with Asian flavors: spring vegetable wok, white miso  with sechuan lacquered sauce (teryaki, mirin, local honey, ginger), wasabi paste.

Dessert:Pineapple carpaccio with yuzu syrup,coulis of mango and passion fruit served with sorbet Kalamansi (Asian citrus).

Vegetarian menu available upon request at the time of registration

SAKE

Aperitif: プリンセスフラウPRINCESS FRAU (Sparkling sake)

Starter:   上善如水  JOSEN MIZUNOGOTOSHI (Junmai Daiginjoshu) 

Main:      十水 TOMIZU (Tokubetsu Junmaishu)

Dessert:     ゆず酒 YUZUSHU  (Sake liqueur)
